Rosie Jones is an actor, writer and award-winning standup comedian, and a familiar face on UK television – she’s fronted her own Comedy Central series Out of Order, starred in Channel 4’s hard-hitting documentary Am I a R*tard?, and led two travel series, Mission: Accessible and the Bafta-nominated Trip Hazard.
She is the creator and star of the Channel 4 comedy-drama Pushers, a six-part series nominated for a Bafta in 2026. Her acting credits span primetime dramas such as Silent Witness, Casualty and Call the Midwife, and she has also appeared as herself on Taskmaster, Live at the Apollo, QI, 8 Out of 10 Cats, the Last Leg and many more. She set up the Rosie Jones Foundation in 2025, which focuses on mental health support for individuals living with cerebral palsy and peer support through events and workshops. She brings her standup show I Can’t Tell What She’s Saying to the Edinburgh fringe from 5 to 30 August.
What’s the last treat you bought for yourself?
I bought some “grownup” pasta bowls from Denby. They were expensive, but I thought “screw it, I deserve it”, so I bought four. Not even a week in, I broke one, and it made me so sad.

Where do you buy your food from?
Every week I think I’ll go to Asda and do a big shop for the week. Do I? Never. I am an Uber Eats lady. I order from the Co-op and get all I need for the day, but I mainly shop there for its salt and vinegar crisps. They’re so vinegary, they hurt the roof of your mouth – it’s incredible.

What’s the best present you’ve given?
The Dom Pérignon champagne that I got my mum for her 60th, which she opened immediately. I just thought that was the best thing ever because when you get champagne you think “ooh no, I’ll save it for a celebration”, but what’s a better celebration than your 60th birthday?

You also can’t beat Abba Voyage. If you’re looking for a present for someone, and you’re like “how do I give them the best night of their lives?”, it’s gotta be Abba Voyage.
… and the best present you’ve received?
A bright red, three-wheeled bike when I was a child, that we called “Pickle”. I can’t ride a two-wheeled bike because of my disability, so it was my first taste of freedom and being able to do things that everybody else could do. Then, when I was about 14 or 15, my mum and dad bought me the adult version so I could join them on bike rides. So I’m being greedy and saying two: little pickle and big pickle.

What’s your favourite online store?
Sugarhill Brighton boutique: it’s my taste all over. It’s bright colours, fancy patterns, jumpsuits, co-ords – it’s just really lovely, fun clothing. Whenever I wear something from there, people go “oh my god, where’s that from?”
What’s your favourite bricks-and-mortar shop?
I’m a bougie bitch, and I love Aesop. I can be in central London, running about, and I just go in its shop on Lexington Street and go “ahhhh” and relax. I think everyone knows Aesop for its soap, but I get my perfume from there. I have a spicy, almost unisex scent called Gloam.

What’s the gadget you use most often?
I call it my sex toy because it looks like a swing, but it’s actually a cup carrier. Because of my disability, I can’t carry liquid: this means I can carry my cup without it spilling, so I can drink my coffees wherever, whenever. It’s made my life so much better.

What’s the purchase you regret the most?
I’m a Yorkshire girl so I think about things before I spend my money. The thing that comes to mind is when I buy a book and then it turns out the author of that book is a bad man or a bad transphobe. Which makes me think “why did I give them money!?”
What’s the thing(s) you get delivered?
Toilet roll. It’s amazing that I used to spend life going “oh my god, I’ve only got four rolls left”, and then I’d forget to get more and end up wiping my bum with a bit of paper or a receipt. So now every three months I get a load of lovely toilet roll delivered – it’s a dream come true.

Where do you buy your underwear?
I really like Uniqlo for simple, everyday knickers. I’m a large-booby lady, so I buy my bras and bikini tops from Bravissimo, and I like a matching set, so you best be sure I’m getting the matching bottoms. I also want to shout out Curvy Kate. You can just tell that its underwear is made and designed by people who know what it’s like to have a big bosom.

What would you buy with £20 – and £200?
£20: Four tins of Perelló olives. My nana is Spanish, so I’ve got Mediterranean olive oil running throughout my body. Perelló green olives are the best I’ve ever tasted.

£200: I’m not assed about jewellery or designer clothes or handbags, but I love experiences and shows and going to places. Recently me and my girlfriend went to an amazing restaurant in Mayfair called Rosi at the Beaumont hotel, and they just treated us so well. We had wine, champagne, and for dessert you can make your own sundae. If you gave me £200, I wouldn’t want anything that I could hold or touch, I’d want to make a memory with a loved one.
What’s your ‘saved search’ on eBay/Vinted?
I am probably the only person in the country who doesn’t use eBay or Vinted. Maybe I’m lazy, but all of that thinking “ooh, I want that jacket, but someone else wants it too” stresses me out. If I want an item of clothing, I just want to go online, buy it and be done.
What item do you buy on repeat?
Yorkshire Tea. When I’m down to my last five bags, I start panicking and have to stock up.

How do you make your coffee at home?
In a Nespresso coffee machine. I have a Grind subscription, and I get the lovely little pods delivered. I am not functional in the morning without the little pod with a bit of regular milk – job’s a good ‘un.

What’s your biggest splurge?
Diptyque hand soap. It’s in a glass container, and one of them lasts me an entire year. It makes me so happy whenever I go to the toilet and get to use a little bit of Diptyque. It smells so good.

And what everyday item do you scrimp on?
Socks! I don’t care what’s on my feet. I never see them. Just put something between my foot and my shoe, and I’ll be happy.
And what’s your greatest vintage find?
I went to Sandringham’s Christmas market, and I bought a camera that’s been turned into a lamp. I love it because I know no one else has a lamp like it. I also love it because when friends come into my living room, they go “are you filming us?”, and I’m like “no! It’s a lamp.”
